Out on service in Urdaneta! So hot, but so HAppY!

Out on service** Urdaneta, it was so cool in the moring, but after 1/2 hr. it became very hot! We were doing the invitation work, for the upcoming Convention in Baguio City!

Rachelle inviting a sweet lady to the Convention!

Moi!
So I found a coconut! As we kept inviting people, we arrived at a place more like a community of muslims, I wasn't too bold to go there. The brother asked "who wants to go?", I said "send me where ever" I know Jehovah will provide, but he said another time. I was like {{relieved}} I wasn't ready for all that on this HOT! morning.

This is the building were we met every morning at 8:30a.m. to go out on service.
It's called "AMOR Buldng" which means LOVE.
It was so encouraing seeing first hand the zeal of the pioneers and the
brothers and sisters willing to help them out, with their pioneer spirit! It was awsome going out with them!

Party at Lola's *grandma house!

This was such a fun night! Food, music, good friends, and did I mention food?! So good! This is a game we played, it was so fun, this is a brother from the Ilokano Congregation. I had my translators next to me, and he didn't guess the word.
Yeah! We were all dancing! Go Rachelle!!! My favorite child!
YUMMM!
Challenaaa and Me my special child! She is so tall!

Rain in Urdaneta!

So we took advantage of the rain and showerd!

Storm is coming, view from Hilda's house roof top.

Say "Cheese" all done. This was just about the time the typhoon hit the Philippines. Brothers were afective, and very soon aid was given to them. All congregations were happy to help with any resource available. I'm so glad to be able to serve a merciful God. As of now everyone is recovering from the Typhoon Juan.

Sunday English Congregation**

We traveled 1.5 hr to attend the English Congregation! It was very encouraing to see the friends from all over, really almost every where! Our speaker was a brother from Australia!
This Hall is shared by 5 congregations, there's one hall on top, and one smaller one at the bottom, with the library and a nice waiting area at the entrance! The English Congregation has a massive territory. All of the province of Pangasinan.

Typhoon Juan! GO AWAY!

Wow! ok it's crazy, even though we aren't in the center of it, we are still getting hit by it. So far there's been a lot of rain, and high winds (just like home) and floods. I'm concerned because this weekend is the District Convention for our brothers here, I believe the English, then Tagalog and others. I hope the city's and the places were it's going to be held don't get damaged, or destroyed. Today it was very quiet, here in Cabuloan. Usually I hear cars, kids, karaoke, and tricycles. Today all I heard was the hard rain drops hitting the roof tops and the concrete. I watched a movie because there wasn't much to do. I hope all turns out fine. Keep all of our brothers and sisters in your prayers. Thank you!

Hello Sister, are u SINGLE?

Ok So funny story!
We show up to the Ilokano meeting yesterday! It was very nice. Apart from the bugs attacking us and not letting me pay too much attention it was a great meeting.
But this is when it gets very comical!
So we begin stacking up the chairs after the meeting is done, and when I turn around a sister so cute (be the way) shakes my hand, turns me around to face a single file line of 5 brothers! (I wanted to laugh) Then she  said "Hello Sister, are you single?" I said "Yes" Then the next question was asked. "How old are you" I said "28" all I heard was claps and next thing you know shes leading me to this single file line of brothers.
She said "this are all single brothers, all pioneers and MS" I was like oh myyyy. Thank you. Hi My name is Maribehet, and I'm from Alaska. Nice to meet you.
It was a very amusing night, and though the mothers of all the brothers were show casing them, I couldn't help it but to think. "If my mother EVER does that to ME, aghhhhhh I will die of embarrassment!"
So there you have it, something funny!
Have a nice day -=o)

Going to the Mall!**

Inside a "Jeep" heading to the Mall! Rachell's auntie, she attends the Ilokano Congregation.
Just in case you can't see the little brown sign on top of me it says "THE BIG SHOP" and this was the only place I could possibly buy clothes, because I'm "BIG" hahahaha. And I didn't buy anything, just because.
Getting my hair done, the lady's were so nice. All wanted to know where I was from, and why I was in the Philippines. Rachelle's auntie was able to witness in Tagalog. Who knew getting your hair done at the mall, could lead up to a witness?

The Gurls**n Travel to Pasangasinan!

This is when we were on the bus, going to Hilda's place! Very beautiful!
Hilda cooking chicken feet for lunch! All fresh, yummy green home grown veggies! The ladies in the picture are Hilda's relatives, they help with the cooking. Very nice, and SHY!
This is second floor view, our room is up here. That's the street and if your able to see it, there's a tricycle on the entrance. I have stories about that! I will let you know later! LOL
A bit out of order but this is our little room we got in Manila! It was nice, other than the shower had a hole and all the water will come out to the restroom floor! It was gross and funny at the same time. Oh and restrooms here in the Philippines are caller "comfort rooms" aka C.R's haha I learned that the hard way!

Who's this!???????
My sista' sista' RACHELLE!!! <3<3

Our very own, ... sleeping beauty! She is so gorgeous! Chellene

Awww the sweetest! She's so cute! A.D in her school uniform! So cute!!!!

Long Service Day***!!

OK So I don't have pictures to prove it, but I promise by the time we were done, Me, Liz, and Rachelle were sweaty, tired, swollen, with poofy hair, and were riding on a bus with a man selling "chicharones" and a man who had a rooster! LOL Then we entered in to a motorcycle that has a small cart on the side attached and me and Liz were squished there, Rachelle was on the other side! Funny stuff! Wish you were all here to see, some amazing things, Jehovah's creation really speaks here in the Philippines, no wonder people are so humble!
I'll post pictures as soon as I can! oh the service day began at 8 and we came home at 7, it was long!
